The Illinois State Board of Education's Annual 5Essentials Survey is an evidence-based system designed to drive improvement in schools nationwide. It reliably measures changes in a school through a 5Essentials survey taken by parents, students (grades 4-12), and teachers (grades PreK-12) and provides individualized, actionable reports based on five essential areas critical for school improvement: (1) effective leaders, (2) collaborative teachers, (3) involved families, (4) supportive environment, and (5) ambitious instruction.

The District partnered with Bernie's Books to provide a bag filled with age-appropriate books for each and every student in grades Preschool through 6th Grade. The hope is that the students will continue to grow their love of reading, as well as their home libraries as they will receive new books twice a year through this program.
Visit the District Photo Galleries to see a photo gallery of the students in D20 enjoying their new books!
