Thank you to Bernie's Book Bank for donating another bag filled with books to each K-6 student in District 20! The kids were once again SO EXCITED to have their own books to bring home! As you can see from the attached video, the kids' smiles are priceless!
Students in many D20 classrooms made creative Valentine's Cards this week to show their love and thanks with veterans. Thank you to Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) for leading the Valentine's for Veterans project!
For one of the projects, Ms. Stalzer taught Ryan's 2nd Grade Class at Waterbury how to write in braille for vision-impaired veterans. See Waterbury Photo Galleries for more pictures of this project.
It was great to share the D20 Love!
Take advantage of the FREE PROGRAMS that Lake Park HS offers to the community through their Parent University:
As a reminder, a dental examination is required for all Kindergarten and all 2nd Grade students. Take advantage of an oportunity to have your child's dental exam completed on GIVE KIDS A SMILE DAY on Friday, Feb. 28th from 9am-2pm which is a non-attendance day for District 20.
Free walk-in dental screenings will be done for children ages 1-18 (no appointment needed) by DuPage County Health Department dentists, at the Central Public Health Center, 111 N. County Farm Rd. in Wheaton. Visit District News for more information.
Take a few minutes to see what happened around District 20 in January!

ECC hosted the second Parent Education Day today, encouraging parents to attend different Make-and-Take sessions with their child. Teachers walked them through different activities and each family went home with their student's projects. Families also took home a packet of ideas for fun and easy activities to do at home over break. It was wonderful to see so many of our ECC families in attendance!
